Angelfall by Susan Ee

Hello fledglings!

We are finally here – our first review is officially live! As you have probably gathered, we have decided to do our first review on Susan Ee’s Angelfall, the first of her Penryn and the End of Days trilogy. As a one off we will be doing this as a team effort, sharing our own thoughts on what we have collectively agreed is a new YA favourite among us. Continue reading “Angelfall by Susan Ee”

Hoot Hoot!

Welcome Fledglings!

We would like to introduce ourselves and tell you a little about what you can expect to see on our page! We are all English students studying for our degrees at university. I can’t believe we are even managing to read more books than we already have to. Go Ulysses…

Here we plan to review, rip apart and rejoice a plethora of books.

First off we have our best, most fucking perfect and leading member of Parliament – the brilliant and wonderful Kate. She is a fan of Apocalyptic literature, but mainly focuses on Young Adult and New Adult fiction. Some of the books you can expect to see reviewed by her in the coming weeks are The Farm by Emily Mckay, The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey and Blood Red Road by Moira Young. So watch this space!

Clearly Kate is a compulsive liar. Rose can’t be bothered to describe herself, but she’s alright we suppose. Interests include Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Crime, Apocalyptic and Thriller with a bit of Horror mixed in. Incoming books will be The Martian by Andy Weir, The Road by Cormac McCarthy and The Stone Gods by Jeanette Winterson. See you soon!

Well then, Sarah is the epitome of saving the best until last….! Her interests are extremely varied but she mainly hones in on the Gothic, Romance, the Classics, Apocalyptic and is a born again Young Adult fan thanks to Kate leading her to the dark side. Some of the books she will be reviewing first include Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman, Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover and a good ol’ classic, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte – bet you can’t wait!

But before all that commences, we will be doing our very first review as a joint effort, looking at Susan Ee’s Angelfall! It’s going to be an adventure, Fledglings!

Lots of love,

Your Parliament of Owls xxx
